Made Fresh, Meant to Be Enjoyed Fresh: Your GT•FTR Delivery Day Guide

There’s a reason your GT•FTR meal doesn’t taste like something that spent a week in a warehouse. Every meal is custom-made for you around your order — not mass-produced weeks in advance and packed to survive a long shelf life. That’s exactly why it’s best enjoyed the same day it arrives, while everything is at its peak.

Here’s how to get the most out of delivery day, and what to do if you can’t finish everything in one sitting.

Why “Eat It Fresh” Is a Feature, Not a Chore

Most meal delivery services optimize for a full week in your fridge. We optimize for flavor and quality — which means your meal is built to be eaten shortly after it arrives, not stored away for later in the week. Think of it less like a packaged product and more like a meal made to order at a restaurant, just delivered to your door instead of a table.

The short version: enjoy your meal the same day, ideally within a few hours of delivery, for the best taste and texture.

Got Leftovers? Here’s How to Keep Them Safe

Ordered a bit more than you could finish? No problem — here’s how to handle the rest properly:

  • Get it into the fridge quickly. Don’t let a meal sit out at room temperature for more than two hours.
  • No need to transfer containers — your meal already comes in an airtight, microwave-safe container, so it goes straight into the fridge and straight back out for reheating. (And once you’re done, it’s sturdy enough to rinse and reuse at home.)
  • Aim to finish leftovers within 24 hours for the best taste and quality.
  • We don’t recommend freezing your GT•FTR meals — they’re made to be enjoyed fresh, not stored long-term, so freezing can affect both taste and texture.

Reheating Leftovers the Right Way

If you do have some left over, a gentle reheat keeps things tasting close to fresh:

Microwave: Your container is microwave-safe, so you can reheat right in it — just vent the lid slightly first. Heat in short 60–90 second bursts, stirring in between, rather than one long blast. Let it rest a moment before eating.

Stovetop: Prefer a pan? Transfer the food to a covered pan on medium-low heat, with a small splash of water, to warm things evenly without drying them out.

Either way, heat until steaming hot all the way through, and only reheat a portion once.

What’s Coming Next

We’re working on refrigerated and frozen meal options for customers who want to stock up for the week ahead — when that launches, we’ll walk you through exactly how to store and reheat those for the best results. For now, though, the best way to enjoy GT•FTR is simple: order what you’ll eat, and eat it fresh.
